Flame Lighting Ceremony

The Flame of Hope will be lit on 25 February 2025, in a traditional ceremony held at Zappeion Palace in Athens, Greece, the birthplace of the Olympics.

2025 Final Leg Journey

Following the lighting ceremony, the Flame will continue its journey to Turin to begin the LETR Final Leg for the Special Olympics World Winter Games, scheduled from 1-8 March 2025.

This historic journey involves eight Special Olympics athletes, eighty-one law enforcement officers, and seventeen logistics volunteers, all selected from Torch Run and Special Olympics programs from across the globe to be part of the 2025 LETR Final Leg Team.
