Toyota
For the fifth consecutive year, Toyota renews its global commitment as a Mobility Partner alongside Special Olympics, reaffirming a shared vision to break down barriers and promote inclusive and sustainable mobility for all.
Sport serves as a powerful tool for social transformation, uniting people and showcasing their abilities. With this shared vision, Toyota and Special Olympics collaborate to build a society where every individual can express their potential and no one is left behind. Since 2020, Toyota has supported Special Olympics through a global and European program aimed at promoting sport as a means of social inclusion and personal growth for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
This commitment is grounded in shared values such as inclusion, respect for diversity, and the elimination of barriers. These principles are fully expressed in Toyota’s corporate philosophy, “Mobility for All” – a vision that guides the company in developing innovative and sustainable mobility solutions designed to improve the quality of life for individuals and communities, contributing to a barrier-free society.
As a global Mobility Partner, Toyota brings these values to life through tangible actions: from the direct involvement of employees as volunteers supporting athletes during competitions to the provision of electrified mobility solutions designed to ensure safe, sustainable, and accessible transportation during the World Games and other events, both in Italy and internationally.
For the XXXVI Winter World Games Turin 2025, Toyota underscores its commitment by providing, through KINTO Italia, a fleet of 140 electrified vehicles, including Full Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid, and Full Electric models. These vehicles are equipped with the most advanced technologies to ensure environmentally friendly and inclusive mobility for athletes, staff, and volunteers. This technological contribution is complemented by the dedication of Toyota Group employees – Toyota Motor Italy, KINTO, Toyota Insurance, and Toyota Financial Services – who will continue to play an active role during the Games, supporting athletes and contributing to event operations, from preparing competition kits to participating in volunteer activities. These efforts embody the values of inclusion and solidarity that the event represents.
Toyota finds endless inspiration in the achievements and commitment of Special Olympics athletes, recognizing sport as a powerful driver of social change. The courage, determination, and resilience these athletes demonstrate in overcoming challenges resonate deeply with Toyota’s vision, illustrating how sport can break down barriers and foster a more inclusive society where everyone is empowered to reach their full potential.
“Being a partner of Special Olympics means being part of an extraordinary journey filled with inspiration and meaningful values,” said Alberto Santilli, CEO of Toyota Motor Italy. “The athletes teach us the strength of determination, the courage to face every challenge, and the ability to turn obstacles into opportunities. These values guide our commitment to creating technologies and services that make mobility inclusive and sustainable. I thank all Toyota employees who, with their enthusiasm and active participation, demonstrate our company’s values and unwavering commitment.”
The Toyota Group is firmly committed to enabling mobility that is inclusive and accessible to all. With over 30 million electrified vehicles introduced worldwide, the company is at the forefront of technological innovation in sustainable mobility, developing solutions that combine advanced performance, environmental sustainability, and accessibility. “Mobility for All” reflects Toyota’s promise to ensure everyone can move freely, without barriers, contributing to a more inclusive society. Because when everyone can move freely, anything becomes possible.
