Lions Clubs International Foundation
Lions International represents Lions Clubs International and Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF). The association serves as the largest, most active, and most inclusive service club organization in the world today, supported by LCIF grants and programs. With over 1,4 million members worldwide, the association and LCIF provide critical support to communities around the world, under the powerful motto: We Serve. The movement of Special Olympics and LCIF have shared a growing global partnership since 2001, as part of an inclusive development through service platform: Mission: Inclusion.
LCIF serves as one of the strongest supporters of the 2025 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Turin, providing financial, volunteer, and technical support to the signature winter sports property of the Special Olympics movement, aligning strongly with the core values that both organizations bring to the world-courage, compassion, community.
Through the support of the Lions clubs of Italy, LCIF supports Special Olympics as part of a shared commitment to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities, promoting human dignity, building stronger and more inclusive communities, and inspiring global change through service. Special Olympics provides a myriad of opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and experience the joy of competition.

LCIF and the Lions clubs of Italy support the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025 through various initiatives, including volunteerism, fundraising, and awareness campaigns. Lions clubs members will volunteer their time and expertise to support the Games in various capacities, from providing services at Healthy Athletes, assisting with logistics and transportation to cheering on the athletes.
